How Amazing Reviews Ltd generates revenue, which commercial relationships we hold with FCA-regulated UK brokers, and the editorial firewall that keeps commission from influencing our ratings, rankings and desk commentary.
Where the money comes from, and where it does not
Amazing Reviews Ltd earns revenue in two ways. The primary source is affiliate commission paid by certain FCA-regulated brokers when a reader opens an account via an outbound link on our site. The secondary source is a small number of clearly-labelled display placements offered to UK-authorised firms only. We do not accept payment for placement inside editorial content, and we do not offer paid rankings, paid star ratings or paid "recommended" badges.
Our editorial firewall is the single most important thing on this page. Broker partners do not see reviews before publication, do not have any right to approve, amend or veto editorial content, and do not receive advance notice of ratings changes. If a broker is downgraded or removed from the recommendation set, that decision is communicated at the same time it is published, not before.
The Financial Conduct Authority requires clear disclosure of commercial arrangements between publishers and regulated firms. This page is that disclosure. If any part of it is unclear, or if you believe a specific piece of content on the site does not comply with FCA marketing rules or with the Advertising Standards Authority CAP Code, please email the desk and we will investigate promptly.
Last updated: 21 July 2026. Amazing Reviews Ltd, 37th Floor, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 9XQ. All commercial arrangements described on this page are with firms authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to serve UK retail clients.
1. Revenue model in plain English
Amazing Reviews is a publisher, not a broker. The site generates revenue by helping UK readers find an FCA-authorised broker suitable for their needs, and by receiving a share of the commercial relationship the broker forms with that reader. The specific mechanism is affiliate commission: when you click an outbound link and then open and fund a live account with the broker, the broker pays Amazing Reviews a one-off or recurring commission. This is standard practice across UK personal-finance publishing and is regulated under the FCA financial-promotions regime and the ASA CAP Code.
2. What brokers pay us for
Brokers pay Amazing Reviews for verified new-account activity attributed to our outbound links. They do not pay us for editorial coverage, for a specific rating, for a place inside a comparison table, or for the wording of any review. Commercial arrangements are entered into with the understanding that Amazing Reviews retains full editorial independence. Where a broker requests coverage, we may still decide not to publish. Where a broker declines an affiliate arrangement, we still cover them if they meet our editorial criteria; several brokers currently reviewed on the site pay us nothing.
3. What brokers do not pay us for
Brokers do not, and cannot, pay Amazing Reviews for a higher star rating, a higher position in a ranked list, inclusion in an editor's pick, favourable wording inside a review, exclusion of a competitor, removal of a critical article, or advance sight of any story. If any of these things is offered as part of a partnership negotiation, the partnership is declined.
4. Our editorial firewall in practice
The editorial team and the commercial team are staffed by different people and report through different lines. The commercial team may negotiate commission rates and campaign timing; the editorial team decides which brokers appear on the site, how they are rated, and what is written about them. Broker partners cannot request edits and cannot see drafts. In the past twelve months we have downgraded partner brokers and removed partner brokers from recommendation sets without prior notification; that is the firewall functioning as intended.
5. Labelling and identification
Every outbound link that carries a commercial arrangement is tagged with the standard rel="sponsored" attribute as required by search-engine and advertising guidance. Display placements offered to FCA-regulated firms are labelled visually and structurally as advertising. Editorial content is not labelled as advertising because it is not advertising; it is editorial writing that may nevertheless link out to commercial partners.
6. Rating and ranking methodology
All broker ratings and rankings on Amazing Reviews are produced under the methodology documented at How We Test. The methodology is criteria-based, applied identically across every broker, and re-run at least every twelve months. The commercial team has no input into methodology weighting, criteria selection or scoring outputs.
7. Compliance with FCA and ASA rules
All content on the site is written to comply with the FCA financial-promotions regime (COBS 4) and the Advertising Standards Authority CAP Code. Risk warnings are prominent, no product is presented as suitable for every reader, and past performance is not used as an indicator of future results. Where a broker's own risk figures are quoted, they are updated when the broker updates them. If you believe any content on the site breaches FCA or ASA rules, contact the desk and, if relevant, the FCA at fca.org.uk or the ASA at asa.org.uk.
8. Reader benefit and reader cost
Opening an account with a broker via an outbound Amazing Reviews link does not cost you anything extra. Commission is paid by the broker from its own marketing budget, not from your trading costs. The spreads, commissions and financing rates you receive as a client of the broker are identical to those you would receive if you had gone to the broker's website directly. If any broker offers a materially different pricing schedule to Amazing Reviews readers, that will be disclosed on the relevant review page.
9. Complaints about editorial or commercial content
Complaints about editorial content should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief at info@amazingreviews.co.uk. Complaints about commercial content or partnership arrangements should be sent to the same address, marked "commercial complaint". Every complaint is acknowledged within two working days and answered in full within one calendar month. If you remain dissatisfied you may complain to the ASA (advertising) or the FCA (regulated financial promotions).
10. Contact
Commercial enquiries from FCA-authorised firms should be directed to info@amazingreviews.co.uk. We do not accept commercial enquiries from unauthorised firms and we do not respond to solicitations for paid links, paid rankings or off-book editorial arrangements.
